When I first discovered Nia I realised how much I was missing out on joy, pleasure and play in my movement through life. In that moment I was gifted something I wasn’t looking for and yet it was exactly what I needed. Nia has helped me to release pain and tension and continue to grow in my own authentic spirit of play and love. This class is a sacred and ceremonial space for you to fall more deeply in love with your body and your spirit.
Nia is an expressive workout that will have you stepping out feeling vibrant and strongly connected to your body, heart and soul. It combines dance arts, martial arts and healing arts, teaching you to listen to your greatest teacher – your body. When we dance, we take off our shoes and honour the body’s natural design and function, and learn to move in ways that release stress & tension and connect with joy & pleasure in movement.
Nia is an internationally acclaimed cardiovascular mind-body movement practice taught in more than 45 countries worldwide.
Through it's healing principles, Nia has fundamentally changed people’s lives. We work with 5 sensations of fitness; Flexibility, Agility, Mobility, Strength and Stability, which will help you to feel a holistic sense of fitness and wellness.

All Nia movements are based on what we call The Body’s Way – a method of moving the body in accordance with its natural design and function. Participants are encouraged to explore three planes of movement (low, middle, high) and to choose from three intensity levels based on their individual needs.
There is a type of magic inherent in Nia which is difficult to explain, and we put this down to the fact that it is designed to touch the heart and soul. The soul stirring music and movements in this fitness practice will have you feeling uplifted in your spirit and your body.
